What about Zoledronic AcidViews: 222

Does anyone have any experience or information about Zoledronic Acid?

Especially interested in any cases where insurance refused to cover it and information on how effective it is in relation to treating bone cancer.

Hi there I am sorry I don’t have any information.
Just wanted to jump in say hi and say that I will support you in any way I can.

Hug Sherri

Hi—- just wanted to let you know what experience my daughter has had with zoledronic acid (zometa) —my daughter was diagnosed last july 2007 with stage IV breast cancer that had already spread to several areas in her bones but especially in her back bone—- her lower back was deteriorating very fast—- so in august of 2007, she began having intravenous infusions of zometa every 3 weeks——it has definitely helped her—- the main side effects have been joint aches and nausea which have been easily controlled with pain medicines and anti-nausea medicines——- her insurance company did try to put up resistence to paying for this drug, but my daughter’s bone deterioration was so bad that they did pay for it—- i wish you the best in your recovery period and hope this information will be helpful to you
